After falling to the Orlando Magic on Monday 119-109 at home, the Philadelphia 76ers would get a second chance to defend their home turf.  Before Monday the 76ers were on a 7 game win streak and are currently 3rd in the East.

To begin the game neither team would pull away as the two teams traded baskets back and forth until about 3 minutes left. At that time Orlando had a 23-20 lead which then caused Philadelphia to go on a 17-0 run to close out the first quarter. Joel Embiid had 16 points after 1 quarter and the 76ers had a 14 point lead going up 37-23. The Magic were not out of it yet as the Magic took the second quarter to slowly crawl back in the game getting the game within 3 points as the 76ers were outscored 30-19 in the second quarter. The Score was now 56-53 with the 76ers holding a narrow 3 point lead.

Coming out of the half it stayed a close game throughout the 3rd quarter as the lead the 76ers had went from three to four at the end of the 3rd. The Magic never having the lead to the point since being up 23-20 all the way back in the first were not out of it. To Begin the 4th quarter the Magic would get as close as 1 point with a score of 82-81 but then Philadelphia would go on a 11-2 run and extend the lead to 10 points and that’s all it took as the Magic would fall 105-94. The 76ers would outscore Orlando 23-16 in the 4th as Joel Embiid led the Sixers with 28 points and 11 rebounds. James Harden also helped with 26 points and 10 assists. The 76ers will return to action Friday as they take on the Spurs and try to make it two wins in a row and being 3rd in the East every win counts in a tight race for the number seed only being 3 games behind Boston and 1.5 behind Milwaukee.
